Data deletion request
At CRUWI we take the privacy and security of your data seriously. We know how important it is for you to stay in control of the personal information you share with us. You can request the complete deletion of your personal data from our platform, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable law.
What deleting your data means
When you request deletion, all the personal information you have shared with CRUWI is permanently removed from our servers, including:
- Your user account and any associated data, such as your name, email address and account settings.
- Your activity history on the platform: collaborations, completed challenges and messages.
- Any other data related to your use of the platform, unless we are legally required to keep it (for example, to meet tax or regulatory obligations).
Once your request has been processed you cannot recover the deleted information or regain access to your account. Please make sure you want to continue before sending it.
How to request deletion
Email hello@cruwi.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:
- Your full name.
- The email address linked to your CRUWI account.
To protect your account against fraudulent requests, send the email from that same address. If you cannot, we will ask you for additional verification before proceeding.
Timeline
We will confirm receipt by email and resolve your request within 30 calendar days, as required by Article 12 GDPR. We will email you again once the deletion is complete.
Data we may retain
Some information may be retained after your account is deleted where the law requires it — for example, billing records subject to Spanish tax rules. In that case it is kept blocked, available only to the competent authorities and only for the legally required period.
Your other rights
Besides erasure, you can request access, rectification, restriction of processing, objection and data portability by writing to the same address. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
